Speedy banana spleets
To make a dessert in less than 10 minutes you don't need magic ingredients. Surprise them all with these banana splits!
- 4 bananas
- 4 scoops vanilla ice cream
- 4 tbsp chocolate sauce (English Provender Belgian is superb)
- 2 tbsp flaked toasted almond
Peel and split the bananas in half lengthways and place on two plates. Top with the scoops of ice cream, drizzle over the sauce and scatter with almonds.
Use low-fat yogurt instead of the ice cream. If you like more crunch, top with muesli.
