Inside out apple pies
What a delight! The taste of apples with cinnamon and the crunchy texture of the crust all in a beautifully presented apple cup.
The author has prepared the crust, but you can use ready-made filo pastry (fresh or frozen).
Prepare a mixture of apples (Granny Smith and Cortland are the most recommended), sugar (1/8 cup per 2 apples), cinnamon and lemon or lime juice. Slice the apples trying to empty the fill inside for use them later as cups, as shown in the picture.
Next fill up your muffin tin with the pastry, place the apple and bake until pastry is crisp (depending of the instructions of the package).
Let cool a little before placing inside the cored out apple. And it's ready to eat!
